The New Communist Party of the Netherlands extends its condolences to the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban people on the occasion of the passing of comrade Jose Ramon Balaguer Cabrera. Comrade Jose Ramon Balaguer has served his people for decades. He joined comrade Fidel and the revolutionaries in their revolutionary struggle against the brutal Batista dictatorship; and later with a lifetime of work at many different positions in the party.
For decades he served as a member of the CC, including its Secretariat and Political Bureau. Heading the International Relation Department of the CC of the PCC from 2011 until 2019, he contributed to the international communist movement and the struggle of Cuban people against imperialism.
His contribution to the struggle of the Cuban people against capitalism and imperialism lives on. Hasta la victoria, siempre!
