Solidarity with Comrade Pavel Blanco and the PCM; stop the repression against communists!

1 November 2023

International Comission of the NCPN

On October 23, the National Immigration Institute of Mexico temporarily detained Comrade Pavel Blanco of the PCM as he returned from the 23rd IMCWP (International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties) in Izmir. The role of this institution is not to control Mexican citizens, but rather foreign travelers. Comrade Blanco is a Mexican citizen, born and raised in Mexico. This proves that his interrogation was pure intimidation from the bourgeois state.

The Lopez Obrador government, which is tearing down the rights of Mexico’s working class and social security, is now also attacking the Communist Party. This proves that this government has nothing progressive or “socialist” about it. Once again, it is clear that social democracy is acting in the interests of capital.

We, the NCPN, reject this official anti-communism and all forms of repression and intimidation that the Mexican state has used against the ( cadres) members of the PCM. This confirms once again that anti-communism is the official ideology of the bourgeois state, and that the repressive organs of the state persecute communists to try to stop them from doing their work for a better society. We stand in solidarity with our Mexican comrades and know that this intimidation cannot stop the work of the PCM.

STOP THE REPRESSION AGAINST COMMUNISTS!

SOLIDARITY WITH THE PCM!

LONG LIVE INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY!
